From June 1 to September 1, every day from 1p.m. to 5 p.m.
This 30-minute guided tour of the archaeological site will highlight more than 20 years of archaeological exploration in the basements of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel. After more than 20 years of existence, the museum is showcasing the contribution of archeological discoveries in the creation of the institution.
During this visit, we will explain to our visitors that our archaeological site, although not the most well-known, is certainly very rich. Our team of tour guides will put forward the changes our site went through in the course of the various archaeological excavations. For this, we’ll try to explain how archaeologists have formulated hypotheses and how discoveries helped us confirm or validate certain historical knowledge about this is a small, but fascinating place in Montreal.
A series of objects will be presented to better understand the human presence at Bon-Secours. These objects have allowed us to better understand our past and our archeological remains in general.
