Pabos, Historical & Archeological Site

The Pabos Historical and Archeological Site presents the day-to-day life of a Gaspé Peninsula fishing village in New France in the 1730-1758 period. Archaeological remains provide the setting for historical tableaux of Pabos in the days of the seigneury.

Visitors will have the pleasure of tasting traditional Gaspésian cod-based dishes cooked in front of them by our interpretive guides. Fish soup, codfish balls, fried cod cheeks, cod tongue stew and cod fricassee are on the menu.
