Moulin des Jésuites

Located in the historic quarter of Charlesbourg’s Trait-Carré and central to community life, this old gristmill testifies to lifesyles in New France. Flour was a staple of people’s diet at the time and essential for their survival. Since farming was the main activity in this area, a mill was needed to process the grain harvest. The old gristmill is today a local heritage interpretation centre.
