McCord Museum

The McCord Museum is dedicated to the preservation, study and appreciation of Montreal’s history, past and present. It is home to one of the largest historical collections in North America, consisting of First Nations objects, costumes and textiles, photographs, decorative and visual art, and textual archives. It produces exciting exhibitions that engage visitors from Montreal, Canada and beyond by offering them a contemporary look at the world. Let Dawson introduce you to the early days of archaeology and discover the Hochelaga “mystery” with a visit to the McCord Museum and the Redpath Museum. Then take part in workshops on fishing, hunting, horticulture and fire to learn about technologies developed by the Pre-contact Aboriginal peoples.
