Battle of the Châteauguay National Historic Site

On October 26, 1813, the Canadian troops under the command of Charles-Michel de Salaberry won an important victory over the invading American forces. This Canadian military victory played a major role in the defence of Montreal and the country. The Battle of the Châteauguay National Historic Site commemorates this feat of arms.
